Our content policy defines what is permitted and prohibited on Defence.gg to keep discussions safe, lawful, and focused on analysis.
1. Overview
- This policy applies to all user-submitted content across forums, articles, replies, and messages.
- Content must align with the Platform’s purpose: informed analysis and discussion.
2. Prohibited Content
- Direct calls for violence, incitement, or instructions enabling harm.
- Material that promotes terrorism, extremism, or illegal activity.
- Sharing classified, leaked, or otherwise restricted operational material.
- Personal data or doxxing of private individuals without consent.
- Coordinated disinformation, impersonation, or inauthentic behaviour.
3. Restricted Topics & Context
- Speculative operational guidance about current conflicts is disallowed.
- Historical analysis and technical discussion are allowed when not enabling harm.
- When in doubt, provide clear contextual framing and avoid step-by-step guidance.
4. Allowed Content
- Analytical pieces, sourced reporting, commentary, and historical discussion.
- Debate and critique of policies, doctrines, and equipment that remain non-violent and evidence-based.
5. Moderation & Enforcement
- Moderators may remove or edit content that violates this policy.
- Enforcement actions include warnings, content removal, temporary or permanent bans.
- Appeals should be submitted through the designated support channels.
6. Reporting
- Users should report content that appears to violate this policy using the report tools.
- Provide context and links when reporting to help moderators evaluate the case.
7. Transparency
- Where appropriate, moderation reasons will be provided to affected users.
- Policy updates will be published and dated; continued use implies acceptance.
